Title: An Eye for An Eye
Summary: David Cole is a hardworking senior agent for the FBI. He enjoys his job, but his one and only real love in life is his daughter, Hannah, so when he comes home one night to find her missing, his world is turned upside down. Unable to officially investigate her disappearance, he takes it upon himself to find out just what happened to his daughter, dragging rookie agent Eli Shaw along for the ride.

Special Supervisory Agent David Cole: Gary Oldman
-David Cole has worked for the FBI for most of his life. A highly respected senior agent, he's viewed as tough but fair by those who work underneath him, and many new agents join the FBI because of him. His wife Karen left him several years ago, leaving him with custody of their daughter Hannah. David told Hannah that her mother left because of his job, but in reality, she left because of Hannah, never having wanted children in the first place, a secret David guards very closely. David's entire world revolves around Hannah, and his greatest fear is losing her. His best friend is Juliet Grayson, his former student from when he was an instructor at the FBI Academy. Over the years his feelings for her have grown stronger, but he's kept them to himself, assuming that Juliet doesn't feel the same, and thinking that both the difference in their ages, and the fact that he's her boss, would make a relationship inappropriate. He cherishes her friendship deeply, however, and would hate to lose it.

My love for Gary has increased significantly over the past few months, and this is a role I would love to see him play, that of a devoted father driven to the brink. We all know how well he plays unhinged characters, and I know he'd act the hell out of this role, just like he does with every other.

Hannah Cole: Dianna Agron
-Hannah Cole is an exceptionally smart young woman, in her second year of graduate school at George Washington University, studying social psychology under the advisement of Dr. John McKenzie. Her mother left when she was just four years old, and though Karen made sporadic appearances throughout Hannah's childhood, it's just been her and David ever since, not that either of them would have it any other way. Hannah lived for a year with her boyfriend at the time, Seth Thompson, but when the relationship ended badly she moved back home, and has lived with David for the past three years. She adores her father and is content living at home, though they both know it won't last forever. She's extremely close with Juliet Grayson, viewing her as both a best friend and the proper mother she never had in Karen; her other best friends are Madison Cartwright and Chris Tyler.

Dianna is my newest girl crush, and is a terrific actress besides. My need for her and Gary to work together is becoming pathological, and the role of the loving, doting daughter is perfect for Dianna.

Special Agent Elias 'Eli' Shaw: Zac Efron
-Eli Shaw is a rookie agent, just barely out of the box. Like a lot of new agents, he joined the FBI because of David and looks up to the older agent. He's barely at the Bureau long enough to find his way to the bathroom from his desk when Hannah is taken, and he offers to help David with his investigation, knowing full well that it could be detrimental to his career, but also knowing he won't get to help very much in the official investigation. He only meets Hannah once, just very briefly, but that's all it takes, and he wants nothing more than to see her again.

I've loved Zac for a few years now, and think he's a terribly underappreciated actor because people judge him based on his past projects, like High School Musical. He's been trying to branch out lately and I think this would be an excellent role to show off Zac's acting and to make people see him as more than just a pretty face.

Special Agent Juliet Grayson: Rachel McAdams
-Juliet Grayson is an agent with a past, and has a close friendship with David that began when he was her instructor at the FBI Academy. Over the years her feelings for David have intensified, though she tries very hard to keep them to herself and not let them interfere with her job or her relationship with her friend. She loves Hannah as both a friend and a daughter, and is hit just as hard as David is when she goes missing.

I resisted casting Rachel in this role, because I had already cast her in Mad World, opposite Gary's character as his wife, and didn't want this to just become a place to recycle my apoca!fic cast, but every time I tried to come up with casting for this character, Rachel popped into my head and I finally had to just give in. Rachel is an excellent actress, and I would love to see her in this role as a badass FBI agent. Plus, like with Gary and Dianna, my need for Gary and Rachel to work together has become quite strong.

Special Agent Chris Tyler: Jensen Ackles
-Chris Tyler has worked for the FBI for 6 years, first at another field office for 2 years before transferring to D.C. and David Cole's division. He comes from a broken home: his parents divorced when he was younger, and his father moved on and got a new family, basically shutting Chris out completely. Chris greatly admires David and the two men have developed a good friendship over the years, Chris becoming something of a right hand man for David. He's also quite close with Hannah; initially he wanted to date her but now they're more like a brother and sister than anything else, though they maintain a teasing, flirting rapport.

Jensen was sort of obvious casting for Chris. I really want Jensen to move past crappy horror movies, and I think this is the perfect kind of role for him, not to mention I think he and Gary would just kill their scenes together.

Eddie: Callum Keith Rennie
-Eddie is a man with very little left in the world. Orphaned along with his brother, Jack (known affectionately as Jackie), when they were just boys (Jackie was 4, Eddie was 16), Eddie and Jackie spent time in foster care. Upon Eddie's release he tried to gain guardianship of his brother, but was unsuccessful; he ultimately saved Jackie from a bad foster situation and took it upon himself to support and care for his younger brother. Eddie eventually married and he and his wife had a son, Lucas, but just a few short years after Lucas was born, Eddie's wife passed away. Left with only his son and his brother, Eddie tried to make the best of his situation, but when his son was convicted of murder and sentenced to death, Eddie's world began to crumble.

I've seen Callum Keith Rennie in a handful of things, most notably Harper's Island and Snow Cake, and I think this role of a man who is not inherently a bad person but is pushed to the edge by circumstances is quite suited to him.
