I live in Norway where hunt of some animals is necessary to keep the number of the animal in question at a reasonable level. When it's that kind of hunt I'm fine with it and I can see why those animals need to be hunted, as long as it's not done in a seriously painful way for the animal in question, which is why I don't support the current hunt for seals. If they could find another way of doing it then I would be more understanding

Personally, as a Californian vegetarian, I really don't care if people hunt or not. As long as it's for a real reason and there's a viable need for it, it's totally up to you. That does not mean I condone shooting wolves in helicopters. (Palin...) I mean seriously, I'm not one of those PETA extremists that think hunting is morally wrong or whatever. As long as I don't have to shoot something and see it killed (fishing excluded) I really don't care.
And my only opinion on taxidermy is that I think it's creepy having the dead things stare at you. But that's just my own fears of having eyes watch me. But some of them I think are super cool, especially the really cool ones at museums and stuff. But like hunting, I really don't care if you do it, as long as I don't have to watch the process.
shooting anything from a helicopter would defeat the fun of the sport... and yes, i realize most ppl would probably look at me say 'fun of the sport' and go all "*gasp* OH MY GOD* horror face*" but whatever *shrug*.
The thing with the mounted animals is when you move them around.... walking through the house at night is a good way to piss yourself. You walk into a room and find yourself face to face with a 'hissing' bobcat and its a great combination for the whole 'jump out of your skin' thing.
i do not like being scared at all, lol. i dont like scarymovies, i dont like anything like that. i can take a SLIGHTLY scary movie, but like... okay, that movie i see the commercials for, Legion or something? just that COMMERCIAL scared me so bad i couldn't sleep without jumping at every noise the other night.
I'm from Mississippi and I think hunting is okay. Every person in my family that's old enough to hunt has at least hunted once(unless they choose not to). Deer is the main thing they hunt and eat. ME personally, I don't hunt because I don't like shooting guns, but I love to eat deer meat. That is the ONLY type of hunted food I'll eat.
NOW taxidermy is creepy as shit. Having a dead animal stare at me would freak me the fuck out. Have you ever seen "Road House" at the end of the movie there is a part with stuffed animals and it creeps me out every time i watch it.
lol, there is legally a 'old enough' but nobody here does that... even if i was 11 before i killed my first deer (and only one, sadly... i gave up hunting cause i LITERALLY NEVER SAW DEER WHEN EVERYBODY ELSE SAW 0293481029348120934) my dad was taking me with him when i was in the baby carrier, lmao. My nana beat his ass the first time she found out he'd taken me with him hunting at like... not even a year old. I was probably about... 9 or 10 months old. I got my first gun when i was 9 and my first bow when i was 8... most ppl around here do. Most girls i know stopped hunting with their daddy at about 12, but i kept on until about 2 years ago, and i only gave up cause i NEVER saw anything... like... i'd see does and that was fun to watch, but none of us care about shooting anything but big bucks, because its just pointless unless you eat THAT much venison
( ... )
-_-' I don't know the legal age for Shooting a gun. I just assumed that 10 was a good age for beginners with supervision. I can honestly say I've never been hunting. I just shot my first gun like 2 years ago. I'm 21 now(for a few more weeks). I've never really been interested in hunting like my family has, but eating is another story. When they kill a deer they give some to all of us. Share and share a like, i guess. :)
venison is a great meat. Its a really, REALLY lean red meat and it's more healthy as well as better tasting, in my opinion. BUT, i've eaten tons of shit. I dont eat wierd food often but i'm not turned off by most anything if it tastes good. Some ppl get wierded out by eating deer (wow) but its something i've always loved.
You've never had a burger until you've had a venison burger, huh? lol.
i eat meat and im not against people hunting it bit i couldnt do it myself and i couldnt have a dead animal's head on my wall cuz i would be creeped out but if people want one on there wall...cool

And I would rather not be scared shitless thank you very much. Scary movies are fine, things actually in your house? Not so fine.

That being said, I am a vegetarian and have been so for a year and a half.
I personally don't agree with hunting and taxidermy, but that's just my opinion.
