Max had felt a little strange during the week, but nothing that was more than just a tug on his subconscious. But seeing Roman walking a little ahead of him, had Max thinking back to Liz's skin being hot and wondering if it had done the same with Roman. Had they kissed? As the same thoughts swirled, he could feel his anger begin to boil.

It felt to Romain like someone was watching him. He slowed and then turned around only to see Max. For some reason, he tensed and felt defensive already as he stood there, watching the other boy's approach.

Max couldn't explain it if someone had asked him, but just seeing Roman's face put his teeth on edge and he felt his anger boiling even closer to the surface.
