Gift first, dinner later (Closed to Glaurnaneth)

Timed to today and fast forward to Valentine's Day (evening?)I have the dress for Glaurnaneth. I know I should leave it by the inside door, but instead I choose to have it delivered by the hotel staff. It's wrapped in a box and I hope she likes it. I'm fairly certain it will fit, since she told me she wears size 8. There were so many red dresses

To say the Dragon is pleased is to understate her feelings. She took great care in opening the box - it's almost a present in and of itself - and her breath had caught at the sight of the dress within.

It's only a matter of a moment before she knocks on the door between their rooms. As she knocks with her hand, her tail pulls up the zipper in the back. She glows with pleasure.

There was a bit of time from when she opened her door to when she knocks on mine. I suppose I was expecting her to try on the dress. I may have also thought that she'd remove it again and save the surprise for Saturday night. Well, some women would have.

It fits. By the Valar, it most definitely fits. It takes a moment after I open the door to say anything because it fits so well.

"Glaurnaneth." I can't really say much. "It fits."

Yes, I am that stupid sometimes.

"Yes, it does! Thank you, my love!" she exclaims and wraps him up in a two-armed and one-tailed hug.

I embrace her in return, the clothing being a bit of a novelty. Somehow, it's funny that her wearing clothing has rendered me speechless: I'm accustomed to seeing her without.

"It suits you as well. There were so many choices, but this one made me think of you." Too many of the others just didn't seem right at all. "It was different from the rest; unique like you are."

When I saw it, I knew that was the one to buy. And she likes it!

"Not long before everyone sees you in it. Well, whoever sees us on our night out." People will look at her and I feel... pleased.
