Mia had made it through Christmas and New Year's without completely falling apart. She was feeling pretty proud of herself in that accomplishment. However, Valentine's Day was coming up and it would be her first one without Derek (and before him, Brian.)

Being a Toretto, this mean that there was going to be a lot of avoidance going on. It was a family trait and one she was good at.

She came into the garage in time to hear a flurry of cursing and she approached the car with a grin.

"I hope that's you and not the car cursing."

"If the car could talk, it could tell me why it has its panties in a bunch." Letty's voice came first and then she slid out from under the car, grease stained on her white tank top and a little smudged on her face. Her hair was pulled up in a pony tail and she held a wrench.

"It's being stubborn today."

"It's an Impala," Mia said with a hint of her old sauciness in her tone. When she was with Letty, she knew that she didn't have to pretend -- which was how she knew she was actually doing better. "I don't think that the 70s created an awesome car that wasn't stubborn at one time or another."

"The 70s also brought the Gremlin." She smirked as she reached over for the corona and took a swig. The Gremlin was probably one of the worse cars ever made. Ever.
