d'Artagnan was actually on his way to the ball dressed in his full Musketeer garb from the stable when he saw the grouping of people.

It was safe to say he'd never seen anything like that before. He stood, staring, even as the couple seemed to be happily announcing a marriage.

No, that wasn't at all sad, reminding him of exactly what he didn't have.

Zoe smiled softly thinking how much she missed odd things like this that would happen in Bluebell. As she looked away from the happy couple, her eyes caught a familiar figure. (and not just on the candy bar)

She moved closer to him, "well, hi. You look nice."

Looking away from the spectacle, he followed the voice, looking around (and down) at Zoe. "Ah, hello, madamoiselle Zoe." He was glad to see her, actually - a familiar, friendly face. "Thank you. You look ... very exotic." And beautiful.

"Thanks for breaking the curse." Zoe set her glass bottle next to his on the small coffee table. She reached for her Cleopatra wig and took it off with a shake of her head. That was better. "It was nice."

There might have been a moment there were he just watched, a little dazzled.

"It was my pleasure," he stammered out, remembering himself. "Perhaps we can even dance again."

"I'd like that." Zoe said and then rushed on before she could second guess herself. "I have a friend that's getting married in January if you want to go. Uh, not that we couldn't dance before then or anything just..." She trailed off with a sheepish smile.
