She's Gone (Backdated to when Kenzi left - tag Gambit)

Sep 14, 2014 22:28

Bo woke up to a not-so-nice surprise in the morning. When she woke up, she had made pancakes for her and Kenzi, only to find that the sweet smell of breakfast did not coax her best friend out of bed. Maybe Kenzi had slept over at Remy's last night, but Bo was pretty sure she had seen her friend go into her bedroom. Checking her room, however, led ( Read more... )

Remy had been asleep when the pounding at the door had him nearly falling out of his bed. What was that? Bleary eyed, the Cajun didn't bother to pull a shirt on, padding to the door in his boxers. But he did grab his bowstaff, just in case this pounding belonged to someone less than friendly.

He opened the door, blinking at the bright lights in the hallway, dumbfounded when he found her there, "Bo?"

"Rum." he decided as he slid into a seat at the bar, shoulders slumped staring down at the counter with a frown. Kenzi's bar. Of course. His eyes closed, a moment, taking a deep breath.

She passed over the shot glasses for the whiskey glasses and poured three fingers worth of the expensive stuff into three glasses. One for her, the other for Remy and the third for Kenzi who would be super upset if she just suddenly appeared and discovered they were drinking without her.

She probably should have said something, but Bo downed the alcohol promptly and went to pour more. She might go slower the second round. "They could have at least let us keep some stuff..."

His throat tightened, tossing back his rum before answering her, letting the liquid burn his throat. "Village can be a fuckin' asshole sometimes, cher."

"Yeah, well maybe one day someone's going to kick the village's ass." She poured him some more and took a long drink again.

"I could start blowing it up..." he offered, but of course Remy didn't really mean it. He knew it would be pointless. Although, breaking things might help him feel better.

"Keep that idea in your back pocket. Explosions can be pretty effective. They make a statement." And they were a good stress release. Bo kind of wished she could blow things up.

"I've certainly used dem to make a few in de past." he joked, but there wasn't much actual joy behind it. He tossed back his drink, guzzling all that was left in the glass.

She poured them both another round.

"Can you blow up people, too, or just things?" Bo took another drink and leaned against the counter.

"No, I can't blow up people. Only inanimate object... but can charge up dey clothing, so dat good as, ain't it?" he shrugged. Not that he did such a thing often. It would have to be someone who he really wanted to kill. And Remy usually didn't feel that way.

"I guess that's the difference between you and me," Like that was the only different. Bo might be drinking the alcohol a little fast, even for her metabolism. "I can't do anything to inanimate objects, but people - that's my specialty."

"Hmm--" he hummed, taking a sip, watching how fast she was drinking hers, but didn't say anything. He'd make sure she was okay if she drank too much and passed out.

"Actually. Dere a side effect to my powers. First, all dat energy make hard for psychics to read me but also, give me-- others have called it hypnotic charm? Make people trust me pretty easy, if dat what I want."

And if he wanted other things... ahem.

Bo would love to be able to keep psychics out of her head. From her experience, they were no fun at all. The other tidbit, though, seemed to make sense why she always felt drawn to him.

"Well that explains a few things, then..." Her eyes turned an unnatural shade of blue. "I have something like that, too." Only she had to deal with the succubus side of her that wanted to feed almost always - especially now that Dyson wasn't around. Thankfully Aphrodite had a drink that was somewhat helpful.

He nodded, "Makes sense dat you would. Know about you bein' a succubus and all." Kenzi had mentioned it. And he'd known from first meeting her that she had something about her that made her hard to resist. And not just that she was a very attractive woman.

"That is so unfair that you knew about mine and I didn't about yours." Although she did appreciate how Remy hadn't asked Kenzi to stop being friends with her or something stupid. Some people seemed put off by what she was, but it wasn't like she could help it.

Bo's eyes turned back to their natural dark colour after a moment.

Why would he? He knew what it was to be persecuted for something you couldn't help. "Well know you know. Hypnotic charm don't work so well if you know about it, so.."
