Saving Grace (Closed to Anna and, later, Balthazar)

It was time. Anna had kept her Grace for long enough, and now Castiel would persuade her to give it up again. He had everything prepared, and texted Balthazar (handwaved) that he could either come and join him as he went to talk to Anna or to at least be on alert or on the lookout in case he needed him. Anna arrived with the soft sound of angel wings. "I got your message, Castiel." She immediately glanced around for the dog even though she didn't really know why she was looking forward to seeing it.

Bernie's tail wagged back and forth and he barked happily, running over to Anna with little clippy toenail sounds.

"It's good to see you." Castiel smiled, trying hard not to make it look too forced. It actually was good to see her, but he wished it was for a different reason.

"How have you been, would you like some tea?" Too much? He wanted to ease into it all somehow.

She crouched and patted the dog with a smile on her lips that she was unaware of. When Castiel asked about tea, she looked up. "I've been fine... if you want to make tea."

"Have you thought about what you wanted to do here yet? I mean, it's okay to take some time to get accustomed..." Castiel shrugged, going to make tea because then he'd at least be busy doing something.

Bernie nuzzled her hand and licked at it, then pulled at her shirtsleeve with his teeth playfully.
