Trying to teach a kindergarten class inside all day was near impossible when the nice weather was out. When it was snowing or raining you had a good chance of convincing the children that going out side was more trouble than it was worth, but even then, it was hard. John smiled slightly seeing Mary, the gun firmly at the small of his back covered by a shirt so that no one would see. He'd seen her leave the school with the children and there was no way he was not going to be there to protect her and the others in case it was needed. He didn't think it would be but that didn't stop him from being prepared.

"Hello." He said as he approached. "Giving them a visual history lesson on big lizards?"

"I tried to convince them to stay in, but they wouldn't have it." Mary smiled lovingly, though. She enjoyed the spirit of children.

"I don't really understand why the parents decided to send their children in the first place. You'd think they'd keep them home today."

"Most of the animals that I've seen are small and herbivore. They probably thought that it would be safe." Though John was of two minds about that. There was the keep your child safe theory and the prepare your child for what's out there theory.

"This is the village. I'm not too optimistic it's going to stay as peaceful as it seems." Maybe she was being a bit pessimistic, but her recent experience of the village, she didn't think she could be blamed.
