At noon, Stefan was sitting outside of the cafe enjoying a glass of red wine, and a plate of pasta primavera. He wasn't scheduled at Fangtasia until the evening, so he was relaxing by himself outside. The sunshine, he saw as a blessing. "You're looking very content," she said with a cheerful smile.

The food on his plate was half-eaten, glass just filled again. He set the book down and smiled up at her.
"Moreso now that you're here," he said with a smile, standing and sliding the other chair at the table out for her to sit in. "Would you like to join me in enjoying the sun for awhile?"

The waiter came by and Elena placed her own order, then turned her attention back to Stefan. "As much as I sometimes love winter, I'm really glad to see the sun and feel the warmth." It wasn't that the cold bothered her. It was more the memories and ideas that the sun and warmth triggered in her.
"What are you reading?"
