It was a morning - well, an afternoon really - for coffee. Entertaining one's most insatiable and vigorous client until the wee hours of the morning while fun was also taxing on the body. When the creature had seen the man coming, he had ducked into an alley by habit alone. He had been exploring the village as he was wont to do, trying to stay out of the way. When the man exclaimed, the creature started, rocking on the balls of his feet from where he stood, peering from around the corner.

Feeling eyes on him, Draco looked about and caught the...man staring.

"Hello?" Cold, Draco put his hand back into his pocket. "Haven't seen you around before."

There was a reason for that. The creature did not seek out attention, even though most of whom he'd met had been more than kind. Pulling back out of sight, then leaning back in to peer at the man again. "I h-haven't seen you e-either."

Well. This was turning out to be an interesting encounter.

Elle was venturing out more, doing more than simply walking from Charles' office in the morning and returning to her room at night as she'd been doing for the past couple weeks. Today, she'd planned to get some lunch. Charles was trusting her to be on her own.

And to not go running back to Frank. Which might have occurred to her, despite knowing that it would only lead to more pain.

She turned a corner and stopped mid-stride when she saw a familiar face standing outside a shop. Draco. Turning on her heels, she started in the other direction. Maybe he wouldn't notice her.

Draco noticed movement from the corner of his eye, and then raised a brow when he realized who was making a retreat. Not a bad initial reaction, considering.

"Hello, Elle."

She stilled. Damn, so much for making her escape. Well, maybe she still could?

Reluctantly, the blonde turned around. Her smile unsure and fleeting to her former boss, "Draco."

Depends on if the mouse really caught the cat's attention or not.

"I hear Charles is making you into a literal honest woman."
