Anything having to do with the word FREE was like a beacon to Stiles. It could wake him up from a deep sleep and stop him from hibernating like a bear... if, in fact, he'd done either of those things recently. Which he hadn't. Thank god he has school to try to pay attention to, after everything that had happened in this village.
He still wasn't back to normal, but Deaton had said they likely never would be.
Anyway, Stiles was walking back to the hotel after a class at the magic school and happened to pass by the sign at the antique store. He definitely didn't need any antique items for his room, but he'd pretend to in order to get one of those delicious brownies.
He hadn't even gone inside yet, instead he was standing in front of the window, practically drooling.
"Really? Awesome, thanks!" Hey, she didn't have to tell him twice. Stiles was in the door and headed over to the table by the time she finished her sentence.

"Why be outside," she asks in a voice that carries through the window, "Cold and hungry when you can come in and be warm and eating a brownie?"
