There were monsters here. Not zombies, but ravening blood-thirsty monsters of some other kind. I knew there were monsters, 'cause some of them were chasing me.
I saw a building up ahead that had stuff piled up in front of the windows. There were people inside. Hopefully. Unless the monsters got 'em.
I ran to the side of the building closest to me and up to a window. The glass was gone, so I could call in.
"Help me... please help me!" I called to whoever might be inside. "Oh, shit!" I shouted as a hand grabbed me and pulled me away from the building.
I fell on my back and the crazed man jumped on top of me. He batted my hands aside as I tried to defend myself and leaned down and bit me; I screamed in pain, and the color of the world faded away. Bad signAll of a sudden, I could smell his brain inside his head... and I needed it. With a strength I didn't know I had and a maniac speed that only meant the Hunger had me in ( ... )

What happened was a bit confusing. Anna's expression was full of concentration as she stared at the woman with an expression that say 'what the Hell?'

I turned my back to her briefly to finish the meal and wipe my lower face clean before turning back to face her again.
"Hi. It's, um, not what it looks like." I closed my eyes and muttered to myself, "Stupid, Angel. She saw you eating brains." So I opened my eyes and tried again. "Ok, it's exactly what it looks like, but it's not as bad as it seems?"
