It wasn't even a week yet with Lucas gone, but it felt like longer. She hadn't told anyone yet because she was still lingering with the belief that Lucas might return. A nurse escorted Paris to an examination room. He had promised Aaron, he would have the bite mark looked at by one of their town's healers...err, doctors.

Aaron's healing seemed to have momentarily paused the infection from the woman's blood, but it now appeared to be returning.

With a frown, Paris held his arm out and waited.

Martha knocked on the door before she entered and offered the man a friendly smile as she walked in.

"Hello. Paris?"

"Yes..." He stopped short. He'd never seen such a pretty healer before. "I uh...my arm..." He suddenly remembered his words. "A woman at the market bit me then spread her blood into my wound, it was crazy..." He tried to explain. "...Aaron--he's an angel--he managed to slow down the infection, and it feels fine...but after an hour it returns"

She frowned for a moment. While Martha was familiar with the existence of angels, it was the fact that the cure of an angel didn't seemed to work. That was troubling.

"Can I take a look?" She motioned for Paris to take a seat and then went to retrieve gloves so she could examine him.

"My name is Martha, by the way. Martha North."
