Mixed up minds [closed to RIver]

Lisbeth wasn't what anyone would call social, but that didn't mean she stayed only in her room or stayed away from crowds. She just wasn't someone who typically struck up a conversation with anyone. She preferred to be left alone, unless she wanted something from someone ( Read more... )

River was part of every conversation - her own preferences not withstanding - but the ice cream store was in general a place full of happy thoughts and emotions.

So River liked it here.

She was also enjoying her peaches and cream ice cream cone. Much easier than an ice planet.

Lisbeth took her cone to sit over in the corner, not even really noticing River's presence as she walked past toward her seat. But as soon as she walked past the slightly younger girl her vision swimmed. Something was very wrong.

River felt it too, blinked and shook her head as though she could clear it, then she realized everything was very... quiet.

That made her stumble and then she realized she was standing. She turned and looked around and realized she was looking at herself.

There was a very small moment of clarity before Lisbeth was lost in the voices. She recognized she was sitting when she hadn't been before, but her body was standing just a few feet away.

And...

Lisbeth screamed out in a voice not her own, strange hands clutching a strange skull.

It was so loud!
