In the Garden

Castiel was feeling a little less mopey and much more determined about what was to come for him back in his world. He had gone through plenty more than most of his siblings (no need to dwell on why that was the case), so he would just had to find some way to change things ( Read more... )

Draco had given Annatar some suggestions. A pet was a ridiculous idea. What made him happy... he wasn't sure. The wellness center was not a place he'd been. The young woman who ran it was a friend of the Numenorean, for one thing. Not being concerned about his wellness was another.

There was noise--to Elven ears--in the back. A garden.

"Good day," he said.

The ears show, but Castiel would probably know Annatar wasn't human anyway. If he's somehow familiar with Tolkien, please do not canon puncture.

[[No, he hasn't gotten that far yet though I'm sure Tolkien will be part of his studies because, well, he's studying a little bit of everything. He's met Annatar once before ( here) and he showed Cas his ears then.]]

Castiel turned to spot- oh, the tall being with the long hair and the pointed ears. He remembered having met him one of his first few weeks here.

Things were pretty different compared to then. He looked different now, anyway, sans trench-coat and with a beard. Today, he looked like many of the other villagers in dark jeans and a light blue plaid shirt. Hey, he didn't usually choose the clothes, Haurvatat magically put them in his closet. But he did choose to wear them sometimes.

"Hello." Cas said in greeting.

"I've not seen you for a while. Is this your place of work?" It seemed likely, though the angel did not look to be working now. Then again, if he wasn't working, surely someone else should be about.

Oh blurk. I couldn't recall if they'd met and Annatar didn't have Castiel on his friend list, so I thought they hadn't. Try to friend pups as they're met.

"Yes, though I'm still in training technically." Okay, so maybe Kerai wouldn't see it that way, but Cas did. He could do everything fine, but if it ever came down to troubled, broken souls, then he would have a bit of a problem.

Luckily, most things could be fixed without soul-touching. He smiled slightly, then asked. "Can I get you anything? We have tea, and some food." Did the Elven man even eat?

[[It's all good! I try to keep up with logging who Cas talks to... I'm a little behind now, but fixing that today.]]

Paris had promised to visit Castiel at the Wellness Center and since he had an appointment with Dr. Hopper, he figured he would kill two birds with one stone.

"Castiel?" Paris called out before approaching his friend.

Cas turned and smiled at Paris, teasing softly. "Oh, so you did come. It's good to see you."

"Thank you, it is good to see you as well." Paris took a seat next to the angel. "I'm not sure where to begin." He bit his thumbnail nervously, "I fear you may change what you think of me once I tell you."

Castiel scoffed just slightly. "I can't be one to judge too harshly, after the things I have done myself."

Though, he might have been under someone else's command at the time. Of course he thought he should have been able to stop that somehow.

"If you'd like, perhaps a drink or food would ease some of the tension."
