There was noise--to Elven ears--in the back. A garden.
"Good day," he said.
The ears show, but Castiel would probably know Annatar wasn't human anyway. If he's somehow familiar with Tolkien, please do not canon puncture.

Castiel turned to spot- oh, the tall being with the long hair and the pointed ears. He remembered having met him one of his first few weeks here.
Things were pretty different compared to then. He looked different now, anyway, sans trench-coat and with a beard. Today, he looked like many of the other villagers in dark jeans and a light blue plaid shirt. Hey, he didn't usually choose the clothes, Haurvatat magically put them in his closet. But he did choose to wear them sometimes.
"Hello." Cas said in greeting.

Oh blurk. I couldn't recall if they'd met and Annatar didn't have Castiel on his friend list, so I thought they hadn't. Try to friend pups as they're met.

Luckily, most things could be fixed without soul-touching. He smiled slightly, then asked. "Can I get you anything? We have tea, and some food." Did the Elven man even eat?

Though, he might have been under someone else's command at the time. Of course he thought he should have been able to stop that somehow.
