It was actually a little depressing to be honest.
In fact it's still on her mind even now as she sits in the park trying to focus on the book that's on her lap. J.L. is on her mind though and she finds herself missing him a bit as she flips another page, casually glancing up and then down. Only to look up again when she sees him a familiar form.
"J.L.?" She forgets her book, dropping it to the side as she gets to her feet.

He walks towards her, but is hesitant. Somehow he worries she might be angry. He stops near her, but enough to give her some space.
"Alexis." He manages a smile. It's subtle, but it reaches his eyes.

For half a second she worries this is another version of him, one that doesn't know her, but the sound of her name on his lips eases that fear.
"You're still here." She closes the distance between them then, throwing her arms around his neck as she hugs him tightly.
