For the past two weeks, Sam had something on her mind and so far, she hadn't brought it up to Jack. She wasn't sure how he felt about the subject and she didn't want to ruin what they had together. Jason was working the griddle, luckily for all involved he has improved his cooking. He looked over and smiled when he saw Sam. "Long time no see stranger."

She took a seat at the counter and looked up when she heard that familiar voice, a smile appearing on her face. "Hey, you. I didn't know you worked here."

"The village saw fit to let me own it actually. Go figure." He chuckled and leaned on the counter. "What can I get you?"

She had planned on picking up breakfast and taking it back home for her and Jack but as soon as she walked this place, those plans went out the window. Now she was really glad Whiskey didn't want to get out of bed.

"So this is your place. You're just full of surprises." she smiled, picking up a menu off the counter and quickly deciding. "How about some Belgian waffles with whipped cream and strawberries if you have them."

Jack was at home putting something away that he wanted to surprise Sam with later. He was content with his life here, no chasing terrorists. No near death experiences. Just him and settling into a life with someone he had fallen for. It was safe, and normal. Or well as normal being taken by a village could be.

Since she didn't check the bedroom before taking over the couch, Sam didn't know Jack was already up. She pulled the blanket off the back of the couch and draped over herself as she looked for something to watch. Glancing at the clock, she was surprised she'd been gone over two hours.

Jack came out and smiled when he saw Sam, slipping up behind her he leaned in and kissed her cheek. "There you are Sweetheart."

She reached up and wrapped her arms around his neck, smiling up at him. "I walked down to the market and got some bread for the ducks. Are you hungry? I can make breakfast."
