As soon as Faramir had told her about the pool and hot tub, Penny knew she had to check it out. One of the things she missed most about California was the warm weather, and though it wasn't quite warm enough for swimming, she was still taking advantage of the hot tub.

I don't usually go up to the roof during the day, but this is the second time this week. Well, third, but the other time was at night and I was thinking. Now I'm just wondering what I'll find.

I know what I'm hoping for, and I'm also hoping that she isn't there. More, I'm hoping that she is.

She is. I'm fully dressed. I was just checking to see if the hot babe (as the NPC staff said) was who I just had to know it would be.

"Penny." I'm proud, since that came out perfectly clear and normal, not squeaky at all. Then again, she's under water and I can't really see all that well.

Curse it. Thank the Valar for that.

Penny turned at the sound of her name and grinned. She moved to the edge and propped her arms up on the sides.

"Hey you. Did you bring a suit? You're welcome to join me."

"Hello." Of course she has one of the bikini suits and it's even smaller than the ladies' smallclothes they sell at the stores--openly.

"I have a suit, but not with me." Should I go get it? I mean, put it on and come back up?

"If I'd known you had free time, we could have gone shopping. Perhaps you haven't that much time."

I'm so stupid.

"I can go put the suit on and be right back."

I'm not that stupid.

"Oh, this was just kind of a spur-of-the-moment kind of thing. I wasn't sure what your schedule was."

He seems nervous, and it worries Penny a little. She stands up in the hot tub and gets out, making her way to him.

"How about you go put on your suit and come back, and then we'll go shopping tomorrow?"

Emma hadn't taken any time to rest or relax since she'd gotten to the village almost eight months ago. She still found it hard to believe she'd been there that long. She remembered Henry mentioning a roof top pool and hot tub.

After buying herself a swimsuit, she pulled on a pair of shorts and a purple, sleeveless sweater. She grabbed her towel and sunglasses and headed to the roof.

It was nice and sunny on the roof and while it wasn't a hot day, the sun shining down made it feel warm. There was a few people scattered about but she walked up beside the woman who'd been standing in front of her.

"It's nice up here. Now I wish I hadn't taken so long to come up here."

"I know, right?"

Penny turned to the woman with a smile.

"I can't believe I just found out about this place after all this time."

"My son told me about it a few months ago but it was a little too cold to come up. Today's perfect."

She looked over to the woman and smiled, extending her hand. "I'm Emma."

"Penny. Nice to meet you."

She shook Emma's hand with a smile.

"And today is perfect. I can't wait for the weather to get even warmer."
