Glinda had decided she liked this village. Amazing shopping, to die for food, and a woman she loved more than anything else in life. What wasn't there to love? But as much as she did love it, she couldn't help but feel a little moodified. Four months ago today, well, in a few hours, actually, was the day that Elphie had melted, the day she felt ( Read more... )

"You should totally look for something long and sleek." Aphrodite's voice came first and then she appeared in the midst of the clothing store in a flourish of golden sparkles. She was scantly clad in pink.

Glinda turned around, and smiled.

"You think so? I usually go for frilly and pink." Glinda said, the grin widening. The golden sparkles were a nice touch, although she hadn't recalled seeing anyone behind her earlier. But she was wearing pink, she must be OK.

"Listen. Pink is totally a great colour for you." Pink was awesome. "But if you're looking to make an impression on someone who always sees you in pink, you need to go opposite to really 'wow' them."

Aphrodite glanced around and then gestured to a light blue dress. "Like that one."

Glinda's eyes lit up, when she saw the dress. She had to admit, it was perfect, as evident by the squeal of delight that followed.

"You are so right. And your taste is impeccable!" Glinda said, trying to imagine the delighted look on Elphie's face when she saw it, "They like me in pink, too, but this is perfect," She looked back at the woman, with a shy smile, "Sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. I tend to do that when I'm excited. I ramble alot sometimes. Like I just don't know when...." She managed to catch herself with a giggle, "Sorry, I'm Glinda." She said, trying to reel in her bubbliness.

With the warmer weather coming on, it was time for lighter clothes. That meant it was time for shopping-and Sonya took the devious honor of wrangling all four kids for clothes shopping for the weekend. Jackson wasn't so bad because he was still wearing onsies and rubber pants, and Sonny atleast didn't seem to care one way or the other.

Athena on the other hand..christ, the girl was only three years old and already very insistent on clothes. Sherman just looked put out at having to deal with what he considered a boring afternoon.

Sonya agreed with Sherman, but the twins especially needed new clothes and atleast only one of them was really choosy.

Glinda smiled, seeing the happy family. Watching the young girl of the two twins she saw at the halloween party, she couldn't help but smile.

"It's good to start them early." She said, happily to Sonya, "How are you, Sonya?" She asked, motioning to the baby in her arms, along with the other three. Now that was a big job.

"I know some of us would disagree." Sonya answered, looking over at Sherman who seemed just rather bored and put off. "I'm fine, getting in some clothes shopping since the Monsters can't stop growing."

Sherman smiled at that. "Not so little anymore."

"Compared to Sonny you're not." She said.

Athena looked Glinda up and down. "Are you a fairy?" She was more interested in fairies than princesses-fairies had magic and they could do things and still looked pretty and sparkly.

"Then they're healthy." Glinda said, smiling at the little ones. She paused a moment at the little girl's question, "What's a fairy?" Glinda asked her, earnestly, before looking back at Sonya, hoping she might know. Glinda didn't want to lie to the little girl, after all.
