Draco was a little surprised to received the text message from Jace. From the way the younger man had acted in the shop before, the wizard hadn't thought he was very interested in the details of the Apothecary. Proving himself? While Jace didn't see the point of that, he did saunter into the Apothecary about an hour after their messaging had wrapped itself up. He wore his Shadowhunter gear, Marks apparent on his neck and arms.

"And what exactly is it you wish me to show you?" He asked as he came up, nearly silently behind Draco.

Draco hadn't heard him at all due to the head phones, though he did catch the consonants of someone talking behind him.

"Good, you showed up," he said once the headphones were taken off. "Is that gear really necessary, or are you just showing off for little old me?"

"It doesn't hurt." It was habit, if nothing else. Jace wasn't the fashionplate type. "Besides," he replied. "It shows off my eyes." And he smiled crookedly.

Cedric had come in early to work on Blood-Replenishing potion, something in steady demand courtesy of the vampire bar.

"You're in a good mood," He observed, raising his voice to be heard over the music.

"Just trying to stay current the Blood-Replenshing backlog." Cedric said. "Wouldn't want a bunch of thirst vampires at our door."

"I was saying that you seemed to be in a good mood."

"No we don't. Especially if I hire the bloke that's coming in for a trial - he's a bit hasty when it comes to non-humans."

He grinned a bit at the mood thing. "I do? Odd. I wasn't trying to be."
