Lucrezia was exploring. Having just arrived, everything about this village was still so strange to her and she still did not quite understand how nearly anything worked, and she was still marvelling at everything from lights to the cleanliness of the streets. It was just all so different from Rome and needed exploring.
She poked her head in through the open door as she passed by, curious. She had never seen anything like it, and felt like she was strangely out of place, even in the doorway, in her fine gown. And then there was the animal, staring right at her.
"Oh!" Lucrezia was suddenly unsure if it was safe to be where she was. She had never seen such a beast before, either, and it made her nervous. What if it was not tamed? If it bit her, the way the beast her brother had gifted her had?
Phoebe had felt someone new approach the doorway and she turned with a smile. There were several times that being an empath really did come in handy. She tilted her head and had to marvel at the dress. It was gorgeous -- like something right out of one of her favorite movies.
"Don't worry about Rhiannon," Phoebe said as she came around the bar. "She tends to get very protective of women and only men get growled at right away. She's really quite sweet and loving." She stopped, not wanting to intrude on the stranger's space. "I'm Phoebe, I own this club and Rhiannon is my best friend."
Then, because she was Phoebe, after all. "Your dress is really beautiful."
Lucrezia could never not be pleased to be complimented. She smiled and took a few hesitant steps into the building to dip slightly in a shallow curtsy. "Thank you. Please, call me Lucrezia."
She would normally want to return the compliment, but this woman, this place, that animal were so strange to her that she was promptly distracted from her courtesies. This place made the Lucrezia with impeccable manners into a sixteen year old girl who could hardly focus long enough to give her own name.
"What is she?" She gestured to the animal, still unnerved by her. Animals in cages were one thing, sitting out in the open was another issue all together.
He'd been becoming too antisocial, Lester had realized at work that afternoon as he put a set of files back into the alarming set of file cabinets he had. (The thought had also crossed his mind that gathering as much information as he could on the creatures they dealt with had possibly been a bit broad, but it was A: something Helen had had no problems with and B: something he could deal with at a later date.)
Today, however, he'd settled for finishing up the report he'd been gathering and then heading out. And where did he head? Not back to his room, which he could've done. No, this time he headed to a friend's work place. A certain friend's work place.
A smile crossed his face as he walked into P3. Whether he and Phoebe became more than occasional date companions or not, he'd always have her and dear God, was he a lucky man either way.
Sam knew that Phoebe would be starting on spring cleaning and while she hadn't had a chance to talk to her about it, she wanted to offer her help since she did work for her.
She enjoyed working at P3, whether it was working upstairs serving drinks during the day or pouring drinks downstairs at the club at night.
Whiskey wasn't too happy when she left him home with Jack, the German Shepherd still in the pup stage and wanting to get outside and play. When she walked inside, she smiled when she passed Rhiannon on her way to the bar, leaning her forearms against it.
"Hey, Phoebe. Just thought I'd see if you needed any help with inventory."
Well, thinking about him seemed to bring the man out of nowhere as Jayne stepped into P3 looking for Phoebe. It was hard to catch up with her at times considering their different schedules but he had to admit that he liked hanging around her. She was pretty, after all, and she was interesting.
Spotting her finally, he made his way towards her with a faint smile, glancing once at the large husky before focusing on the woman.
