If there is a concert in Haurvatat, Kerai will be there. She's bouncing along to the beat, clapping, and joining in on the choruses, sending as much energy back at the performers as they're sending out -- their biggest fan.
She waits afterwards, to express her appreciation if any of the performers are inclined.
I'm feeling pretty exhausted after the show, and I can't tell if it is because I haven't done a show in so long so my body isn't used to all the jumping around I usually do, or because I just kicked ass and worked it extra hard this time. Either way, when I spot Kerai in the audience after the show I grin over at her and even go in for a hug. This all went wonderfully.
Kerai is in the Ribbon, sweeping, and, of course, singing. The sweeping isn't going very fast because sometimes she stops, and stares dreamily at nothing, one hand going to her belly.
Along with the words and music of the song come feelings, overwhelming love, and desire to protect, along with the melancholy knowledge that protection isn't always possible, and that despite the great and fierce love, there will be pain.
Some people, special ones like Chuck, are immune to the power that raises the hairs on the neck before it overtakes souls with a gale of emotion. Some are entirely immune, and some voluntarily so.

Going into the church had proved to be too much for him, but Cas had a feeling there was somewhere else that could help. Balthazar had been the first one to tell him about The Ribbon, actually, and so he thought it was time to check it out.
Castiel has sort of been an open book here. He's hardly closed his own mind to thoughts and emotions coming in even if a lot of it is just too much sometimes, and he hasn't hidden his own going out either.
Of course, nobody's emotions were quite as strong as the woman he spotted in here, and some of them were things he didn't quite know how to comprehend...
He watched her, head tilted slightly. He'd never met her before, but there was a familiarity. Her emotions didn't exactly transform his own, just added on to whatever he was already feeling. And that was a lot, so much that the lights in the room may have started twitching a little.

The black and white dog resting by the fire lifts his head, and barks, pushing himself up with his paws to a sitting position, the dog gazes back and forth between the man and the woman.
Kerai's attention is drawn by the bark, and she follows the dog's gaze to the man. She stops singing, and walks toward him.
Kerai stares as she walks closer, unable to figure out quite what she's sensing in the Weave, whatever it is, it's not quite a threat, it's more that feeling of being in the room with a turbine, the sense of great, contained power thrumming much like the feeling she gets from Chuck. Yet somehow she also feels protective, perhaps it's that his eyes hold the same expression that Chuck's do.
"Good greeting," she says quietly, still with that disconcerting stare that seems to be focused inside him. "Welcome to the Ribbon. How can I help you?" And it's not the glib query of a shop keeper trying to make a sale, it's an heart and spiritfelt question, and a promise -- How I can help? If I can, I will.

He let out a breath that he didn't know he'd been holding and then the lights were back to normal. Great, and he'd been told not to freak people out with his angel mojo.
But she was different anyway, he could tell.
"Your baby, she likes it when you sing. Well, she can't hear it yet technically, but..."
Robert was very pleased for his friend as he saw how performing brought extra...life to Hedwig/Hansel's very being. He might even been a little misty-eyed as he watched and listened, grinning at the very naughty parts, and face contorting with sympathy at the painful ones.
I am aware that I often put on a pretty good show, but I was on fire today. I didn't expect as good a turn out as we got, actually, and I'm very happy to have Robert here to help me put it all together. I congratulate and thank the npc band members and then spot the man I'm looking for waiting for me by the stairs.
"So, my show. That's me in a nutshell." I grin at him and shrug. If he didn't know certain things about me before, now he knows just about everything. I don't sugarcoat in my shows.
"Couldn't have put it on without you, honey." I squeeze his hands and lean in to give him a small kiss on the cheek. "Oh, now you've got pink lipstick on you. I'm actually shocked my makeup stayed on so well."
Chuck was walking out of the church as Castiel passed it, stumbling slightly when he spotted the angel, "Oh-- hey, Cas." he gave him an unsteady smile, "How's the village treating you?"
It almost seemed like Chuck knew what Cas had been up to here, but then again he didn't have visions here so there was no way- right?
Castiel blinked when Chuck came out. Though the man was a prophet, it was sort of strange to see him hanging out in a church. "Things are going okay." Better than they had been, at least. "What are you doing here?"
"Umm..." he rubbed the back of his neck, "I work here? I know, I have a job at a church." Even if he was a prophet, it seemed an unlikely choice. Chuck looked back that the church, "I work at the library. The father who used to run it, he took pity on me and offered me the job after I first arrived."
Matt had most of the messenger's guts ripped out. The spare parts were lying on the table, and he was getting the last of the circuit board unattached from the rest of it.
"Hey." He glanced back up at her with small smile. "I'm sorry I didn't ask you how you were, after the recent monster attack."

"I brought juice, and water, and pastries." Not a standard greeting, but she knew from post performance exhaustion.
