Jim was walking past the building without registering what it housed when suddenly shots were fired inside. Nothing like that sound to kick the soldier in him into gear, pilot or not. Drawing his own .45, he pressed himself flat against the wall next to the door and knocked.

"Everythin' alright in there?" He shouted, ready to drop to the floor at any moment in case more shots should be fired.

Kyla, who was now in her twenty-sixth week of pregnancy, stared at the holes in the doorframe for a moment before she registered someone speaking. She swallowed hard and called out. "Y-Yeah. Everything's... fine."

The dream felt so real. Only she knew it couldn't be real since Leoben was from her world. Her lips pressed into a frown as she recalled the dream. Leoben had died in it and she could still feel how much that had hurt.

Jim carefully opened the door and peeked in. As there seemed to be no imminent danger, he entered. "What on earth happened?" He asked, looking around.

Kyla held onto her side arm until she realized that it was a man and not machine. She slowly lowered the gun to the counter and released it, though her hand rested close by in case the stranger turned out to be a machine after all.

"I," She ran her hand through her hair. "Accidentally shot the door." Except the three bullets had hit in tight formation with an accuracy that didn't come from it being an 'accident'.
