If Klaus believed Faye and Lexi, which he had little reason not to, then he and Elijah had been a little over 500 hundred years older only a couple of days ago. After an interesting morning, that had honestly been very similar for both brothers unbeknownst to them, the girls had left, parting ways, leaving he and Elijah to themselves. That hadn't

"It certainly has," he said, eyes locked onto Katerina's, his expression beckoning her over as he gave a slight tilt of his head toward their table.

"It's certainly strange. Everything feels..." he gave him a crooked smile. "Well, as I suppose it must feel to all brought here--as if we've been yanked out of where we belong and deposited somewhere utterly foreign. All these...machines. I never would believe humans would allow so much to be done for them--and yet I do not think they are magic."

Klaus took the messenger out of his pocket and set it on the table beside his glass. "It would be far more simple and easier to accept that they're run with magic, but the girls didn't seem to think they were. All of the machines seem so commonplace, like some other type of power has been harnessed to operate them constantly." As if he knew what that sort of power might be.
He poked one of the buttons on the messenger, bringing it to life and the message Faye had half-typed sat there, waiting to be sent if Klaus desired.

"But...I find it difficult to believe that anything would just...make us suddenly forget 500 years. Perhaps, instead, our future selves were taken by this place before, and then whatever is behind it brought us here in their places?"
If one accepted the premise of magical kidnapping villages, at all, that seemed more likely than suddenly being 500 years younger overnight.

He gave another look at the messenger, not fiddling with anymore of its buttons just yet.
"That's far more reasonable than thinking we regressed in years," which is exactly what had been suggested. "What do you think we should...do, while we're here?"
There were a lot of pretty, potentially yummy people, but Lexi had referenced some kind of annoying vampire feeding rules, that Klaus refused to acknowledge at the moment.

She had told Elijah that she wouldn't go out of her way to avoid Klaus but she wouldn't actively seek him out either. So it left her wondering what to do when he was nearby and there was no way of possibly going unnoticed. She might have tried if Elijah hadn't been sitting there as well. There had been one misunderstanding between them and she didn't want there to be another one.
So, after picking up her drink, she made her way over to their table. "Hello, Elijah. Klaus." There was a warmer smile for the first brother mentioned, then the smile tightened slightly as she focused on the other. That's when she suddenly frowned, confused. "What did you two do to your hair?"

A few people now had greeted them--enough for him to be convinced they knew them somehow, though he was still convinced that the most likely theory was that their older selves had been in this place and now they were here, instead.
"Why is everyone obsessed with our hair?" he asked Klaus, before sighing and looking back at Jenna. "Hello. Who are you?"

He gave a nod, lips starting to turn up in a small smile as he looked at her, letting the unknown vampire answer the question.

But then she paused at the question of who she was. "Jenna." She answered automatically before it started to click that something was clearly wrong. "You don't remember me?"
