There's a black dot on the horizon of Haurvatat. Slowly it gets closer as residents begin to wonder. Is it a large bird? Eyes widening, she realizes there's not enough space in the rinky-dink Sanctuary for a dragon.
"Holy shit."

"Is that what I think it is?"

Looking over at the girl she shakes her head. "So, this village is pretty dullsville until even the people in charge get bored, huh?"

She thought for a second and then nodded. "I'm guessing that the people in charge getting bored is never a good thing."

Crap. His eyes widened and he turned around and scrambled for the hotel. He just hoped Arthur was still inside and hadn't seen or heard the commotion. When he got to Arthur's room, he nodded hurriedly, knocking until Arthur would hopefully open the door.

A hammering noise almost made him drop the dish; he rather thought it was a shame he caught it, since breaking it would have solved the problem. There was only one person he could think of who would be hammering on the door like that, and that person might actually know how to accomplish this. Wiping his hands on the dishtowel as he went over, he opened it and did not even look out before saying, "Good timing. How the hell do you wash cheese off a pan?"
If anyone had told him a month ago that he would ever be wondering something like that, he would have laughed them out of the room...

It took him a moment realize what exactly Arthur had said - the sheer fact Arthur had knew it was was him before opening the door had stunned him. Now, he was trying to get over the fact that Arthur was asking a question about dishes.

This was becoming a battle, man versus cheese, and he would win.

And yet... not the strangest thing.
"Pretty sure that's not normal, even for here."

"Well.. we used to have this dragon woman.. thing. But she didn't fly around or breathe fire." He paused, then added. "I think."
