The park was usually empty at night, which was convenient for the witch who was preparing for a ritual there. Behind a group of trees, she was semi secluded from anyone would might have decided to walk by.
With a flick of her thumb the lighter's flame was brought to life. Willow used it to light the fifth green candle needed, placing it on a bed of herbs, in it's rightful place on the circle. She wasn't attempting anything big, just a little luck spell. She had a couple tests coming up. Not that Willow would ever replace actual studying with a spell, but a spell couldn't hurt. Even if it didn't actually work out, the ritual would at least help her relax.
Gently laying the lighter in the grass, the redhead surveyed her work. Satisfied with what she had done, she settled herself in the middle of her creation and closed her eyes. The woman recited the spell in her head, then, before she could speak it aloud, she felt the ground begin to shake under her. Wind whipped around her, tugging at her clothes and messing her ginger hair into her face.
When her eyes snapped open she found herself to be in a whole different place. There was still grass under her, but the trees that once surrounded her were gone. Her candles, and her circle, they were gone too. There was a playground a short distance away, making it safe to assume she was still in a park... just not the park she started off in. Or one that looked to be anywhere near Sunnydale. Willow stood up, hastily brushing the grass off of her jeans as she did so.
"... What did I do?" she mumbled to herself.
Headlights from passing cars brushed over her, letting Willow know that there was a street nearby. She hesitantly began walking towards the street, nervous and curious about what she would find.
