Monk had decided that his mind was a complex place. It had conjured up some remarkable things while he was in this coma or psychotic break. Adrian wasn't really sure which this would be classified as, but he was definitely not normal. He had made notes to tell his doctor when he woke up from this episode as well as notes to himself to not tell his doctor. He knew that he would probably be committed if he ever told of aliens, wizards and fictional characters coming to life. The hotel registry read like a who's who of popular culture.
While he was having this break/coma, Adrian decided to take advantage of it. Shawn had offered him a place to work and he appreciated it. It wasn't working police cases but it was a step closer to his dream.
