Arwen is beginning to know her way around the village now. While it is not an uncomfortable place to be, she wishes she would have been able to go home and see her father first. It has been many years since she walked the woods and halls of Imladris, and although she often spends time away from each part of her family, she had been on her way back from Lórien when she arrived. There had been much she had only heard whispers of - a boy, almost grown to be a man, who was the Heir of Isildur. Thinking of her home and those she misses, she looks up to find that the stars here, though the pattern is different, still feel the same. Walking through the park in their light and that of the moon, she begins to sing softly in her native tongue, and yet - if you listen closely, you will understand what she says.
Snow-white! Snow-white! O Lady clear!
O Queen beyond the Western Seas!
O light to us that wander here
Amid the world of woven trees!
Gilthoniel! O Elbereth!
Clear are thy eyes and bright thy breath,
Snow-white! Snow-white! We sing to thee
In a far land beyond the Sea.
O stars that in the Sunless Year
With shining hand by her were sown,
In windy fields now bright and clear
We see your silver blossom blown!
O Elbereth! Gilthoniel!
We still remember, we who dwell
In this far land beneath the trees,
Thy starlight on the Western Seas.
