"That is a good idea, I think." He opened the door of the cafe for her with the hand that was not holding hers. A chance for a very proud young man to show off 'his' lady? -- Not to be missed.

He scanned the list of drink offerings, and noted the general level of chaos--as if the people running the place were not used to doing so.

"I do not know what most of these drinks are." He added, "Do you?"

"I was with my teacher, travelling." Joslire said.

"I have a little brother." he said. "Just a youngster... How about you?"

"Two sisters. One older and one younger. My older sister has a baby," Laura smiled. Finally feeling warm, she took off her hat and scarf.

"I think...from the dream it seems as if we very much enjoy being here and together."

"I think...you have understated." Joslire was going to say he wondered where their families were, but then he remembered that the parts of the dream he didn't like and didn't want to think anymore about. So he put his arm around Laura, held her close to him. and rested his cheek on her head.

Likewise for Laura, remembering her family was making her remember other things as well. Sad things that made her want to cry and she buried her face in his shoulder.

"I just want to remember us. Not the bad things."

Joslire tipped her face up to his and kissed her deeply. Fortunately chocolate and peppermint taste good together.

Laura kissed him back and held onto his face as she let the good memories flood through her. That was all she wanted, so she kissed him just as deeply.

Joslire's other hand snaked under her coat to feel the warmth there. His tongue slid past along hers and his breathing quickened. Public? What's that?

Laura kissed him back just as deeply and didn't even realize what they were doing in the middle of the cafe until she whimpered softly into his mouth. Pulling away, she gave him a little grin. "I love you."

He looked at her with a slightly dazed expression when she pulled away, then he smiled -- the brilliant smile of joy and laughter colliding.

"I love you too."

"Our drinks are getting cold..." She kissed his neck, breathing warmly against his skin.

"You are not helping," he chuckled, lifting her cup to her.

"The problem is that this is more fun." But, obediently, she took the cup and took a sip. She couldn't stop looking at him though, even as she drank.

"I would like to see if the beach we remember is near. though it is too cold to go wading." Joslire took a sip of his tea and gazed at her.

Laura nodded and kissed him again before sliding out of the booth and reaching for his hand. "By the time we get back to the hotel, it'll be time to think of creative ways to warm up again."

At that comment, Joslire had to take her in his arms, and kiss her, deeply, seriously, right in the aisle of the cafe.

"Umm, yes," Was his less than coherent verbal response.
