Six piles of books and God knows how much coffee later and Mulder had determined one thing: the village was a time rip. It was the only thing that remotely made sense and, since that whole incident off Bermuda, he was pretty apt to believe it. Of course, unlike Bermuda, it seemed to be later than 1999 and, well, Scully was pretty much Scully.

Thomas read the sign, and smiled. Given what the person was looking for... he probably was the last thing this person was expected.

Dressed in very expensive clothing (as Thomas did these days), he wandered down to the lobby.

"Well, one has to dress in style," Thomas grinned back. "Don't know, I never actually acted in the films, though know the industry. My sisters, now that's a different matter."

"How do you typically feed, as an incubus? To the death, or have you specialized?"

Skinner's run-in had been nearly deadly.

Thomas' eyes flared pale in anger at the words. "No, I don't feed to the death," he said, swallowing his anger. He took a few deep breaths. "I try not to hurt humans."

Mulder held up his hands. "No offense, I promise. I'm just researching. How do you feed then?"

Thomas calmed down the inner demon, always screaming at him to feed. "I'd rather not talk about that, but I don't hurt humans."

[agt_mulder]

"Fair enough," Mulder admitted. "Any weaknesses?"

[priestofbowflex]

"Why do you want to know this?" Thomas asked. "Luckily, my only weakness is something that can't easily be replicated. True love."

[agt_mulder]

Mulder wrote it down. "It's just research. It might help when I get back, might not. I'm mostly just interested because I'm bored here, and curious."

"Hmmmm," Thomas hummed. "Some people in the village might not be so... forthcoming with their opinions."

[agt_mulder]

"Probably not. I don't expect it," he assured him. "Anything I get is a bonus."

"I think you are insane," Thomas said seriously. "Most sensible people don't go looking for the supernatural."

"I've never been accused of being sensible," Mulder said, laughing a little.
