Cricket Clinic [OTA]
This weekend, a portion of the park was commandeered for the final cricket clinic of the summer. Multi-colored flags billowed in the breeze, beckoning any interested passers-by to inquire into the goings-on. Small tents dotted the area, containing batting stations manned by bowling machines ready to fling balls (slowly!) at potential batsmen. A strip of park was cordoned off for use as a practice pitch. Young volunteers from the summer cricket program were around to give instruction and advice.
The Doctor was in the middle of the chaos, dashing from station to station, checking on technique and always on the look-out for potential talent. The previous clinics were intended for children and teens, but as this was the last clinic of the season, the Doctor decided that everyone of every age ought to have a go.
