Closing the lair - open to invitees, curious passers by

Feb 02, 2008 13:20

Something was going on in the tunnels under the village theater.

Riddick had gone in to scope out what remained of Morningway's layer. It'd burned down, and ash covered the walls that used to be hung with rich tapestry, obscured the bloodstains on the floor. He approved.

Now all that was left to do was close the place down. He was currently taking bricks in a wheelbarrowful at a time from the back of a pickup John Marcone had borrowed from the garage-- legally or not, like he gave a damn. The businessman was being all businesslike, carrying in heavy bags of cement, rounding up a hose to mix the mortar.

Both of them were dressed for heavy labor, t-shirts and sturdy pants. Riddick's sunglasses had been replaced by a pair of dark blue tint ski-goggles, sturdier and unlikely to come off.

Once everyone showed, they could get this thing done.

[Slowtime for me soon, but it's a gathering style post so feel free to mix, mingle, and chat with everyone else. And hopefully do a little bricklaying.]
