Carving his initials! Journaling! I really like the writing style like "When this did nothing but hurt his shin,". As much as I like Stella, I like the idea of her being just cruel to him. This is full of a lot of passion and emotional darkness and character history -- GOOD. I like his tears being "liquid rage" -- pretty brutal.
I love the idea of them making the Klokateers make snow forts for them -- one of those perfectly Nathany childhood-with-a-billion-dollar-budget ideas. I can picture Charles's frown as he has to equip them. Oh man! I love the idea of Skwisgaar's feelings about his own reflection and about how much he actually liked the attention he got from Murderface and about how he figured the time spent with him was the pretense. The mirror part kind of reminds me of him talking to his reflection in Skwisklok. I love that scene.
"Even though he'd understood perfectly well what the bassist's motivations were, there had been something deep inside of him that wanted the attention." Oh man. Yes. Yes. Perfect. My thoughts too

This was adorable. I'll read anything with this pairing, but you really got me at "carving initials" (I laughed pretty loud), and then kept me right until the end. So sweet! The attention to personality quirks and details is excellent. Well done!
And Skwisgaar's name really would be difficult with a lisp. I had a palatal lisp as a kid ("s" sounds like "th"), and used to scan ahead for "s-words" with dread whenever I was called on to read aloud in class. Maybe the fact that his would be the hardest name for Murderface to say is part of what draws me to this pairing, and I never even thought about until now. XD
Wonderful! I thought you really captured their characters with Skwis liking the individual attention MF gave him and MF being so angry and self-loathing. I wish there was a sequel to this, I totally want to read about Murderface giving Skwisgaar a second bath now that they're going out. :D
