Oh rats. (Prankwar!)

I set the box down outside my door and seek the key. School is out for the summer and I had a few things I needed to clean up and today was as good as any day for it. There's an odd sound on the other side of the door, but I don't really think anything of it ( Read more... )

Those words do not sound happy.

Glaurnaneth saunters up the hall from outside - she and Olore had been apparently engaged in similar pursuits, with the primary difference being the size of the prey.

She'd exchanged insults with Ira while washing the blood from herself before returning to the hotel.

"Is aught well, love?" she asks from behind Faramir.

The door was open and my foul language was overheard, if not understood.

"Everything is fine, though I'm not exactly sure how rats got into my room. Olore has just finished off the last of them." I think. He just made a face at Glaurnaneth and went to sit on the deerskin (that she made) now under his favourite chair.

"I'm sure you don't have rats in your room." Then again, my room smells like a predator too. Is this a village thing?

She tilts her head. "I hear none, and think me Olore does not either." She walks in, closing the door behind her. Her tail slides around Farmir and asks, "Did you offend the rat king?"

"I think Olore was rather pleased to have the rats. I don't know how long they were here, but he killed three before I arrived. One he caught in the hallway and I had to open the closet for him to get the last." Enough time for him to eat part of one.

"As you can see, the chase fairly well covered the whole room." It won't take too long to set right, then I need to clean the kitchen.

"There is a rat king in the village?"
