The bluff that overlooked the water had become Xas's favorite place to sit. He would watch the sun rise and set from it, his bare feet dangling over edge.
The place was small, still, inescapable, but the people he'd met had made for very interesting conversations, so that made being trapped much more tolerable. So, he was peaceful as he sat. The sun was long since up, and still he sat. Having no place else he needed to be, he laced his fingers between his knees.
