Babies of Spring [OTA, tag parents of small children!]
Vianne and Faith had decided to have a gathering for all the parents of babies and toddlers in the village - as well as one or two who were expectant parents - so that they might all get to know eachother, and those with older children might be able to swap stories and share tips.
They were all to meet in her shop, the Chocolaterie Maya. She'd put up a sign that said "private gathering but please feel free to stop in" on the door, and had opened up the back room. The table in that room was loaded with simple luncheon foods: cold cuts, croissants and bread, cheeses, fresh fruits and vegetables. There were drinks: sparkling lemonade, juices, punch, but no alcohol so as not to tempt those pregnant or breastfeeding. And of course there was a generous supply of chocolate.
Vianne bounced Mimi on her knee as she laughed and cooed, and Anouk was reorganizing the strawberries into a pyramid. Faith would be here soon, and then everyone else.
