Juliet's been back full time at the clinic now for a week. Getting back into the swing of things has been easy, and she's doing more general medicine than focusing solely on pregnancies. She misses Jonah - he hadn't taken well to being dropped off - but she knows he'll be fine. She's mostly okay. As okay as someone can be when their husband disappears. But she can't do anything except move on and focus on the way life is now. She's a single parent, and she never thought she'd be able to call herself that. It is what it is, and she's stronger than sitting in her hotel room like a shut in. If not for herself, then for her son.
With the ball the next day, she's got a plan for being in her room long before the party starts. She may be doing okay, but that still doesn't mean she'd like to surround herself with happy couples. It's petty, but true. Sighing at herself, she gets up to return a chart to the front desk, tired and ready to go. To snuggle up with Jonah and watch Sesame Street until they both fell asleep.
