Charlie watches the boy warily, glancing around at her surroundings once more before looking at him again.
"Haurvatat?" She frowns, not enjoying that word at all. It was a hard one. She almost protested going back inside, wanting to see if she could find Norma or Irv but her toes were freezing so she nodded.
"I panicked," Charlie said sheepishly. "I thought I was on Irv--...on my grandparents farm when I woke up but everything was different. So I ran outside without shoes."
She just nodded, hurrying past him to get back to her room. That much, she remembered. She'd taken a minute to memorize the number and the door was unlocked so she let herself in, leaving the door open for Faramir.
"This is where I woke up," she said, looking around for anything even remotely familiar. She started searching for shoes, finding a pair of sneakers that were a bit too big.
This made her frown just a bit, nose wrinkling. "This is kind of frustrating."
"Are those yours?" They're modern and I can't tell if they fit. "My clothes are strange, like a man would wear."
Well, I am a man. Just not right now.
"That happens sometimes here. Things are strange--like how I'm usually grown but now I'm not. Last time this happened my brother was here and he was a man. He said I'm not seven anymore even though I am. Not usually seven." It is confusing. "Maybe you're really an adult too."
My room has no toys in it and hers does not either. Mine has weapons and a really big cat.
