I kind of realized today that I made a bit of a Rowlingesque mistake with dates here.

Brendan's birthday is July 9th. Last Monday. He turned sixteen.

Now, whether it's sweet or not is up for debate because I mucked up the Rockquest dates. The real life Wellington Rockquest heat is on July 21st. Ophelia Strike, of course, knew

Dude, I have given up trying to coordinate this stuff. Technically I think Johnny and Taje are in Japan right now with Inari and Maya, but I never mentioned it and that story is seriously worth whatever time warp might be necessary because it's totally awesome and well-done (not to jump on the bandwagon, but second person is impossible to write, and you managed to make each character's voice really unique.) My philosophy at this point is "whatever, dude."

Yeah, no clue. Plus, at some point, Johnny does end up spending a week with Elle, probably NOT the same week as Brendan. I think her dad feels guilty about Tiffany and what he's about to do, so he lets it fly and anyway.

Aaaaand, Elle would have sent him a plane ticket for his birthday, probably for some time in August, so that lines up. It would have gotten there late because she's a bit self-centered and would have forgotten his birthday until the last minute and probably wouldn't have thought about how long it would take to get there.
