This is so powerful. Why do you write them so flawlessly? Just when I think you've written a standalone with too much angst, you always manage to justify it and keep it relatable, the justifications alright and the characters intact.

I really love your Lucket standalones ;) And this is no exception. While I still find it a bit too unbelievable that a theoretical physicist would invent the cure to Sincyllic Fever (read enough Lucket fics and you get your share of plot structures that repeat and begin to annoy), you write your way through that personal preference problem of mine too by wording his motivation so beautifully...

Thank you for the super review, especially when you write such amazing stuff yourself. I stalk your stories, I admit, even though I don't review like I should. :/

When I was writing this I have to say I didn't know where it was going. It was writing itself and I was all like "no! Not a good place!" Cause I was thinking it was turning into dark suicide fic and then Lucas showed up and it was all ok. Well, you know, sorta. ;]

Sorry about the cure thing. Its something I struggle with too. It gives Lucas an easy redemption, but I get the "wtf" face when reading it and go "he's not that TYPE of doctor." Glad it wasn't too annoying. :D

I'm gonna shut up now except to say thank you again!
