I really love this, and I'm extremely impressed at how well you've captured the true essence of their relationship. Sirius brings out the life/confidence/fun/spark in Remus and Remus brings out the care/love/tenderness in Sirius. That truly, truly fits.

And this:Merlin, that’s it, I’m dead, he thought desperately. I’m dead; Sirius and his stupid obsession with creatures and beasts. I’m dead; Sirius has been spending time with Hagrid again and now he’s got himself a pet. I’m dead; Sirius’ new pet it going to eat me. I’m dead! Just made me laugh. I've always seen Sirius as an animal person (hanging with Hagrid!) and this totally fits.

Aww...thank you! I'm happy you enjoyed it. Their relationship seems so complicated, but when you get right down to the bare bones of it, it's really not. It sort of becomes a simple problem with an even easier solution: one plus one equals two. It's just so...Gah!

Hehe! I actually had a lot of fun writing that part. Not only was I delving deeper into Remus' mind and what he was thinking, but also Sirius' as well.
