23 and married??donnaidh_sidheJune 24 2005, 13:15:07 UTC
Unless you've been sweethearts with someone straight out of high school, that's just...too early for a goal like that. Geez. How long does it take to get to know someone, know you're compatible with them, and know they're the right person to spend decades with? I'd say more than a couple years, though I may be mistaken.

Well, to be fair to her it could by her upbringing- Catholic, her parents married since they were 20, and her best friend got married at 19.
I actually don't have any real 'deadline' for marriage... I just don't want to be alone when I am 30, you know? Years fly by for me, especially with school. 30 isn't far away.

Oh my god, only seven years until 30! Then only 10 years to 40! And then 25 years after that to retirement! And the average lifespan of a North American female allows for only 13 years after that!!!!

Suuuure, mock me all you want ;) Chances are I won't be retiring till I am like 90 and can afford it, I suppose only then should I worry about being alone. My friends will be dying off, and it will suck to not have anyone with nothing to do.
Right now, I'm working to get myself northeast. Getting my car was step one. Can't stand to be here in Louisiana anymore. It's not where I want to be. I need to be where I'm happy.
And, yeah. You, Damien and my cousin Jared are all people I know of who's birthday are on the 4th. I'll be sure to give Damien a hug for you.
Sweetie, you're gorgeous and don't let anyone tell you anything else. I know what it's like to feel like everyone around you is prettier, smarter, more athletic--perfect. BUT you have to understand that no one is perfect. They may have the perfect smile or the perfect guy, but that doesn't make a perfect person or a perfect life. It's important to look at all the "perfects" that you have. Like the perfect personality. Which above all else means more to me and any other decent human being than a 24" waistline.
