Berries? Molly has berries, as gathering berries is both a tasty and perhaps mildly seductive pasttime, when done correctly. Of course, between all the men she knows (we're looking at Curio), surely she's been subsisting on more than just berries... but she's found a lovely patch of early strawberries.

She waves when she sees him.

She considers this. "Ye think it will last?"

"I don't know. One must be prepared for the eventuality, I imagine."

"Ye can live on game and forage, if ye're careful." She frowns. "But hungry people get ugly, quick. May not be long 'afore..." She trails off.

He looks at her enquiringly. Linden has never experience a food shortage.

"People'll start to fight. Steal like Childermass is already doing, only he's good enough not to get caught. Accuse of stealin'." She shakes her head. "Sir... if the magic's goin', do ye think dead folks'll stay dead?"

That's troubling. Linden pauses. "I don't know. There might be no way to tell other than the obvious."

She bites her lower lip. "Lord, sir, things could get bad. Might slow it some bein' summer, but there's a great many people."

"I'm aware." He frowns. "I wonder if something could be organised. Some manner of--I believe the term is 'mission'? They had them in Mandelion, I believe, in some of the poorer areas. Where food is prepared and distributed to the hungry."

"Mayhap, sir. But where'd the food come from, t'be enough? Ye hunt too fast an' hard, ye scare all the game away."

"I didn't think of that." Frowns more.

This could get Bad, quickly. Molly looks shaken now. "We'd best hope it doens't last, whatever's stopped it."

"Perhaps some sort of offering should be made." He doesn't believe in the Beloved, heaven knows, but the idea of making an offering of that kind to appease whatever magic resides in this place is suddenly looking plausible.

"Aye!" She seizes upon this. "Tis a grand idea. What sort'o thing d'ye think it'd like?"

"Do you have any idea of the circumstances surrounding its disappearance?"
