"Nothing has changed," Dree continued, shaking her head as she spoke. "We're all still the same people we were yesterday. Just because everything's now... official," she said, rolling her eyes toward her crown, "doesn't mean that my hours are changing or laws are going to change." Giving each person in the crowd a second of eye contact, Dree nodded. "You need something official, you come to me. You need something unofficial, you come to me. You need something illegal... well... talk to Elly," she teased, turning to look at El as the crowd laughed.
"Now," Dree said plainly, giving the laughter a moment to settle, "we've got friends, food, music... alcohol," she added with a grin as everyone cheered. "So let's show our honored guests-" she nodded to Liandra and Alexandre, looking blissfully in love and not having to hide it "-from the Council, the Federation and all points between.. just how Celcians throw a party."
Dree looked over to her family, who were all beaming and cheering with the crowd. Dree waved Max over and leaned down to pick him up. She whispered to him, turned to the microphone and he shouted: "Party!"

"My point is... business as usual."
