Holy Mother of Cain Pants! That was INCREDIBLE. I would flail like Kermit and SQUEE loudly, but it's 2 AM and I don't want to wake the entire house. So I shall do it in your honor when the sun comes up.

I love Jeb's storytelling--and Lily correcting him--something fierce. And, just like Erin, my eyes did not start to mist over at the "Brave man, good man, tin man" part. Nope. It was just allergies. Yeah, that's it. Allergies.

Seriously, though, this is phenomenal, and I am impatiently waiting for Part Two. And Three. And Four...

I loved writing Lily and Jeb together and I imagine they'll have a very interesting friendship when she grows up.

I'm so glad people like the "brave man, good man, tin man" part because I was really worried that it would fall flat or be too sappy to be taken as a serious conversation DG and Cain would have. But in my mind I can see her calling to his sense of duty and reminding him of the promise he made to protect her if it meant keeping their daughter safe.

Parts two, three and four? I hadn't planned on any continuation, but I'll keep it in mind if the bunnies start biting.

OMG, this was amazing! DG came back? I almost cried while reading their goodbyes. So sad! I hope that your muse cooperates with you so you can make some more! Loved it.

It looks like I'll probably be writing more of this at some point, so right now it's just a matter of keeping the muse happy until I get an idea of where the story should go. :)

well, i wrote a sequel to my "Lights & Shadows," and i had NO voices (until the end. heh) when i write a fic with no voices, it usually takes longer......
