Why does it always center around the bar?
This is the second time he's found himself in the place, this time standing outside and watching the wind ripple across the lake.
His father. His father It's too much to take with everything else he has to deal with. All he wants to do is help Molly.
She's the child he'll never have after all.

Silent.
Until--a shrill crying fills the air. A baby, wrapped in blankets is on the ground behind Matt, kicking his feet and waving his arms in the vain hope that someone will come and take care of him.
He shrieks, his cries tinny and frightened.

His mother screams at his father to leave him the hell alone.
