And, squee, it's not the typical Pharaoh!Yami no Yuugi/Atemu thing. Though poor Yami no Yuugi... *pats him on the head*
While the chapter's short, I still find it as great of a read as one of the longer chapters...must be how you word things, yes. *nods vigorously* I've mentioned that before, I think, but I think I'm going to end up repeating myself a lot if I don't end it...now. XD;

=D Haha, yep! And since Pharaoh isn't even really Yami-in-a-funny-costume, he's very much his own character. Being both Yuugi and dark Yuugi, he can't really be *either.* And Dark Yuugi will so, so, not be happy about this.

Ahaha, I should totally be studying for my last two exams, which I have in less than 12 hours but...gnapgnpa catching up with this was much more fun! Unfortunately, I'm going to be pondering the enigma that is Pharaoh!Yuugi rather than English Lit. tomorrow. ACK.
It goes without saying that this is awesome as usual. I'm really fascinated by how this is being set up. And I can't offer up a single theory as to how it's going to be resolved. (Which probably means I'll be thrown through a loop no matter what! And will get to respond with 'what a tweest!')
And poor Yuugi, I feel for him. I can just imagine being locked in a sarcophagus against my will. And it's creepy shit.
I'm just going to go scratch my head and hope for quick updates now ♥

Mmm, and dark Yuugi isn't going to particularly have a good time of it, either, considering he just got bitch-slapped by the Millennium Puzzle. Feel bad for everyone.

WOW. Just . . . wow. I actually "eep"ed aloud when the Puzzle got shattered. And Yugi as Pharaoh? Totally PWNS.

I really liked how you brought back the line about Yugi's dreams where he knows how to fly, or the secret names of playing cards. Even though it's clearly a really dark chapter, I think the little touches of light - like that sentence - are what keep it from being ZOMG MELODRAMA!!!
I already mentioned my one quibble (about how Dark Yuugi is bound) via IM, so I think that's it for concrit in terms of problems.
Otherwise, it's a good chapter! I kind of knew it was coming, although it was still a surprise when it turned out to be Sasori. (I knew it wasn't Kaiba, but you turned my brain into such satisfied mush with what came between that I totally forgot about the crazy bastard.) Nice technique, although it felt rather like a sandbag to the head when I discovered it was him. "Um, duh, Nina, you should have spotted that last chapter . . . "
And now, moving on.

Hooray for the search-through-document function! *laughs* but I totally agree with you there. Even if it is a really dark chapter, it can't be ALL dark - if it was, it wouldn't be nearly as striking. "Ooh, boy, a pitch black room" is not nearly as scary as wandering through a dark maze where there are only patches of light enough to see the innumerable dark passages. will stop making House of Leaves references now. And melodrama is lame.

*laughs some more* You know, I am really surprised (and not-so-secretly very pleased) that no one was really expecting that to be Sasori Tadashi. I mean, to me, it seemed like he was both the only and most obvious choice in the matter. I wasn't expecting anyone to be taken by surprise by that revelation, let alone everyone. I guess the puzzlesex screwed with everyone's sense ( ... )

Actually, last night I realised there's a couple of ways to get around that, but I won't bore you with them unless you care.
See, if it hadn't been for all the sex in the middle, I'd have gotten it right away. (This is the part where I have to say I knew in Chapter 2 that the Sasori girls were responsible for the killing spree.) And as soon as I saw his name, I remembered that creepy smile.

*laughs* I figured that was going to be an obvious reveal, too, so I didn't even try all that hard to hide it. "Hi, I'm a main character making a very blatant reference to something that will obviously become important."
"Hi, we're NPCs showing up immediately after the mention to blatantly obvious plot things. Please don't make connections!"
Yeah. (I'm surprised people FORGOT the creepy looks, because there were like five of them)
