he snapped back into reality to feel the eyes of Cody, Yann, half the London Knights, his sister, and Steve Bernier (and, oh my God, was that his dad who had just walked in?) all on him and the boy in front of him.
Made me laugh big time... Nice fic.

You know, I heard about Tavares today. For the first time. I was reading old Pro Hockey while in my room and found a small article. Came here and saw this... Like, 20 minutes ago...

Haha obviously you're not from Canada. Believe me, you'll hear a lot more of him. Thanks for the comment!

Haha only because you don't know who John Tavares is.

Okay seriously? I absolutely love this! *Squess!!* It's perfect!

I mean, it's Sam!fic and it's Sam and it's all the Hockey!babies and I was sort of unsure about this one at first because it wasn't Kane/Gagner (one of my OTP's) but oh my god I love it! I love the drama and unsureness sureness of it all and how real it came across, how they were actually like the stupidly stubborn awkward teenage boys that they are and how deep Sam and JT's friendship just came through and I really really wish I could write more cohesive feedback, but my brain has yet to have enough caffeine so all it can come up with is, I absolutely love this whole thing. :D

I know, I'm totally a Kane/Gagner girl, like totally and just about completely, but if you look into it (read the extended notes), John and Sam is just so perfect, it was like the original OTP.

But thank you so much, I'm so happy that you liked it because I was worried about how it would be recieved, what with using JT.

I may say this too much, but I think that this was honestly one of the best stories I have read. Maybe ever. You put so much work and research into it and it shows. Everything was tied together perfectly and made sense.

The texting parts were hilarious cause that's how everyone communicates these days. And I loved how John left the card on his wall. And their fight, wow, it was so perfect (hope that doesn't sound odd) because they said things that hurt and yet it wasn't overly wordy. There were so many parts to this that I loved.

Oh, and I freaking loved how you described PK..."He was confident to the point of cockiness and brash to the point of rudeness, though he never seemed to cross any lines." That is how I see him too.

The way that you handled 'love' in the story was also fantastic. They're teenage boys and they're young yet they know that they love each other. I really liked that cause it was believable. I hope you can get what I mean through all this rambling.

I absofuckinglutely loved it. And I'm reading this again.

You have no idea how much this means coming from you. Obviously you know how much I love your work.

I'm so glad I captured everything in a believable way because that was one of the criticisms I had of it myself, trying to make it very "teenaged boy" without crossing over into "fabricated teenaged boy".

PK is just like that, I think. I think I thought of your take on him from "Labels" a little bit.

I think that the story was written perfectly in that gray area between friends and more with the teenagey aspect that is so guy-ish. It was a perfect blend of all those elements.

And wow, I feel honored that you were inspired by my take on PK. He seems so freakin' badass, I love it. And I absolutely love your work, it's amazing.

It just seemed right. And seeing more from him, as the season went on, it just got more and more realistic.

I'm so thrilled that we have a mutual respect for eachother's work. Honestly, the fact that you like what I've written just makes me giggle.
