"I know very little about some of the people on my friends list. Some people I know relatively well. I read your journals, or we have something else in common and we chat occasionally. Some of you I hardly know at all. Perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But you friended me and I thank you for your interest in my words.

But here's a thought: why ( Read more... )

You've heard alot of extreme unhappy things about me lately. So here is something happy from my past:

I went on a roadtrip in 5th grade and went to 17 States and 3 Canadain Provinces when moving from Utah to Michigan. I also went to over 27 National Parks.

WOW. How long did it take you guys to go to SEVENTEEN different states and three Canadian provinces? Holy shit.

And what did you learn from doing this? How were the people different from each area?

To much to describe in one entry...yes, every area had a distinct accent and monument...all the Ntl. Parks were very different from one another.

You and I have talked alot about lots of different things.
I will try to tell you at least one thing about me that you do not know.

I'm a big sucker for Chinese buffets.
I love spring rolls, teriyaki chicken on a stick, chicken with broccoli and lo mein the most.

MMMMMMMHMM...Chinese buffets are SO good. Do you have a particular resturant that's your favorite?

In Las Vegas where we lived for five years, there were quite a few places that we liked but since moving to Oklahoma, we are disappointed in the quality of the Chinese and Thai restaurants. There is one down the road from us that is adequate but there is little variety. We found one on the other side of town called Rickshaw that is different in seasonings and such. There is one very excellent Thai place near us but it is rather costly. They have a live jazz band on weekends. I have to remind Marcia that we should try rickshaw or Lanna Thai again.

Well.. hmm.. I'm a hat maker by my first profession and there is lots of creativity in my life. Soon I'll graduate from the uni. My major is folklore & mythologies (cultural studies).

I used to be a pagan (wicca/green kitchen witch) but for the last 2 years I've been more and more a mystic with shamanistic tendencies and Christian faith.

You're the first person I've met that is majoring in folklore & mythologies. That is so awesome. What do you plan on doing with that major? And what uni do you go to? Yay for almost graduating!!!!

I'm in the university of Helsinki (I live in Finland). I have plans about combining my cultural studies & creative studies and maybe start organizing events, courses & workshops on creative crafts & folklore & mythology. I'd also like to learn about massaging, aroma therapy & healing. I guess I'll do this & that.. not very academic career because I want to be able to use my creativity too and work with people; help people to find their roots, spirit of beauty & nature & traditions. Something like that. :)

I am a strong believer in honesty and wisdom above all things, including faith. I love learning, and sharing knowledge with others and am always looking out for the new or interesting things. I love language, both reading and writing take up a lot of my time and I am currently working on a book called Dragon's Song.

Although I often crave solitude, I keep some very close friends - people whom I will do anything for and am fiercely protective of. You come under this list.

My moods are often unstable, and I frequently refer to myself in the third person form (Mouse).

Hope this helps you know a bit about me.

Wow, I feel so flattered. Thank you, Leanne (or do you prefer that I call you Mouse or Roiben?).

When will Dragon's Song be done? That's so rad that you're writing a book. And what's the book about?

Any particular reason why you don't feel bad about deceiving those in the business of higher education?

And why are you scared to be the aggressor when it comes to forming friendships? =)
